I'm not a big fan of cempedak although I do eat it ... once in a very blue moon. Last weekend dad bought a cempedak from Balik Pulau. He left it there at home for a night and the whole entire house stinks of cempedak!!! The smell is so strong that I can actually smell it even before entering my apartment. Wonder if my neighbours smell it too. Since we didn't like eating cempedak in its fruit state, he decided to make cempedak fritters and this is his first time making cempedak fritters.
Dad decided to de-seed them. Easier to eat, he says. But they looked kinda 'penyet' after he de-seeded them!!!
The batter ... made from some special type of flour used for making fritters. I never knew my dad would know such things!!! Haha ...
The cempedak fritters were not bad actually, but a little flattened.
